Important Web Design Tips – Part 1

1) Clear navigation menu bars

Once you have got a visitor to your site the hard work isn’t finished – you need to make them go through your site using clear navigation. It needs to be easy for your user to find what they are looking for on your site… and much more along the way. Make sure all your important links are at prominent places and you have at least 2 clear navigation menu bars. Ensure your users can get to various pages on your sites through various different routes.

2) Content is King… but so is context!

As discussed in previous blogs, it’s vital to have SEO rich copy so that you’re found on Google and other search engines, but it’s equally important to remember that this is a website, not a novel! People are on your website for a purpose – to buy a product, find a service, discover more about an event etc – what they do not want is to trawl through lines and lines of information. However relevant and well written that information may be it distracts them from the reason they visited in the first place. Keep it punchy, informative and to-the-point.
