Within Twitter itself both of these tools enable you to separate your activity (Mentions, Outbox, DM’s etc) into streams allowing you to view all of your Twitter activity in one shot.

As you first evolve into social media management tools there is no need to look beyond Hootsuite or Tweetdeck. There are advantages and disadvantages of both so which one should you use? It’s entirely personal preference as to which program you feel more comfortable with. What is certain however is that if you want to take your Social Media activity to the next step, an aggregator is essential.
