Are Google AdWords Worthwhile?
Google AdWords offers you the opportunity to elevate yourself above your competitors for chosen keywords, ensuring you are seen in the top pages of Google searches. The yellow box at the top of a Google search and the right hand column of the page are the areas Google offers you to pay for exposure, yet only if this exposure is converting into traffic to your website. This is known as Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising, whereby you only pay if someone actually clicks on the link you have advertised.
PPC is arguably the most successful way of increasing your websites customer traffic and whilst it is not the most cost-effective (you do need to budget for this!) you are not only guaranteeing more customers visiting your website you are also ensuring that the RIGHT CUSTOMERS are visiting your website. Anybody that clicks on your advert and is directed to your website has initially searched for the services you have offered AND decided they want to see what you have to offer – they are, essentially, your target market!
Sound too good to be true? Well it’s not, you are simply paying to generate targeted traffic but it can be confusing and it is always worth gaining the advice of experienced professionals to ensure you are getting the most for your money and are competing for the correct keywords.
