You’re probably on LinkedIn, whether through choice or the force applied by your company. However aside from connecting with fellow professionals and maybe updating your status have you really explored its other functionalities and potential? One of the aspects of LinkedIn that can quickly improve your reputation as a thought leader within your chosen industry is within the ‘Answers’ section.

People ask questions in the LinkedIn ‘Answers’ section in the hope that there is somebody on the social networking site who could answer them to provide the insight they are seeking in the business world. If you are seen to regularly be that person to give those key, niche and industry relevant answers then you will grow your reputation which will, in the long term, generate new business leads as a result.

View LinkedIn as a new age version of the traditional form of networking – the more industry insight, and ‘answers’, you can provide to people within the industry the more recognition and business leads you will generate.
